What are the three branches of the United States government, and what is the primary function of each?

Answer 1

Erik Calhoun

The three branches of the U.S. government are the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches. The Legislative branch makes laws; the Executive branch enforces laws; and the Judicial branch interprets laws. These branches operate under a system of checks and balances to ensure no single branch gains too much power.
