What are the main differences between plant and animal cells in terms of structure and function?

Answer 1

Melissa Murphy

Plant cells have a rigid cell wall, chloroplasts for photosynthesis, and large central vacuoles for storage and maintaining turgor pressure. Animal cells lack these structures but have centrioles involved in cell division and lysosomes for digestion. Both have a nucleus, mitochondria, and other organelles.
